Olive Oyl was found as a small kitten walking down the sidewalk by herself, covered in fleas. Because she was too young for standard flea medication, her rescuer covered her with olive oil to drown the fleas. It worked. Olive is the most adventurous and independent of our cats. We call her Houdini Cat because she was the first to escape from our “cat-proof fence”. She is friendly, but not a lap cat, and she wants things her way. She lives in the main house because that is the only place she will stay, and she insists on going outside during the daytime. Olive has a meow that often sounds like “uh-oh”.
