Skye is something of an enigma. She seems to like people, but she does not especially like to be touched. She may let you get away with a stroke or two on her head or back, but if you persist, she will lightly bite you. We thought she would become more friendly over time, and she has, but only with a few of us.

Skye was brought to the shelter by her former owners, who suspected she had kidney disease. We took her to our vet to be checked out, and there was no indication that her kidneys were failing.
