Serenity was very sick when we rescued her from the shelter. She was disoriented, not eating and non-weight bearing on her rear legs. We took her to the emergency vet where she stayed 3 days while they ran tests and eventually determined she was suffering from hepatic lipidosis. We brought her home with a feeding tube and assorted medications. We are happy to say she has continued to recover and is now nearly back to normal. Serenity likes to be scratched and petted, but she doesn’t like being picked up. We hope she will become more affectionate as her health continues to improve.
