Heidi is not feral, but she is very afraid of people. Her rescuer believed she had been traumatized by humans to the point that she would never be adoptable. After fostering her in her home for a year, her rescuer became ill and needed a solution for Heidi. Not wanting to put her back outside where she would risk being harmed by humans again, she was afraid euthanasia would be her only other option. We head about Heidi and agreed to take her in.
Heidi is adapting slowly to her new home in Ginger’s House. We decided to call her Heidi because she likes to find a secluded spot, either in Ginger’s House or outside in the bushes, to hide in. Heidi is young and has a long life ahead of her, and we intend to gain her trust and make her feel as happy and content as possible..
